The Village
Pharmacy Story
Village Pharmacy, opened December 10, 2009, is owned by my wonderful wife, Doris, and me. She has a Master's Degree in Education and was an elementary school teacher in Charlotte before moving here in 2006 when we were married. She worked for a short time at Franklin Academy before staying at home full time to care for her ailing mother in her final years. Her passion for helping others makes her an invaluable asset here in the pharmacy. Although she still misses the children, she loves working with the customers here and continuing to practice her correctional skills on me.
My background includes hospital pharmacy, home health care, and retail pharmacy. I was the managing partner in a home infusion therapy business in Charlotte (providing intravenous medications for ambulatory and home-bound patients). We were among the first of those companies to become Joint Commission accredited and earned a number of other distinctions. Later, I was the Director of Home Infusion Pharmacy services for a leading hospital system in Illinois.
Originally from eastern North Carolina, I returned here to be near extended family, and worked at CVS in downtown Wake Forest. I met many fine people, enjoyed this area, and decided to plant deep roots here. I have served in the past as a member of the Wakefield/Wake Forest Rotary Club, the Wake Forest Downtown Revitalization Corporation, the board of directors for Hospice of Charlotte and for the UNC School of Pharmacy Alumni Association. Doris and I are both active members of Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Raleigh.
Yes, we do want to be the best pharmacy on the planet! That can only be possible with your support. Our intent is to provide the best customer service possible, one customer at a time, and to consider the individual needs of everyone whom we serve. I ask you to let me know if any of us here at Village Pharmacy ever fail to meet that pledge. I sincerely want to hear from you.
